Mezio Zangirolami, AIA, LEED AP



Mezio is a senior designer with 20 years’ experience in architecture and healthcare planning. With clients that include women’s and infants, community health and many of the top 10 pediatric institutions, he ensures every design solution supports a client’s goals related to care, experience business and identity. Mezio was a senior designer for the award-winning CHOP Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care and personally has been recognized by the Houston business Journal’s “40 Under 40” program. He is a regular speaker at various healthcare conferences, including Children’s Hospital Association, Healthcare Design and the Association of Administrators in Academic Pediatrics. Actively involved in the academic design community, Mezio is a visiting critic at the University of Houston, Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture.

I believe that design should be approached holistically from the exterior and interior – integrating the two in a way that makes a positive impact on the environment and the people that experience it. Architects and designers are in a unique position to affect people’s lives, which is a responsibility that drives my work.
