Michael Yoshimura, AIA
At its core, healthcare design is focused on improving the human condition. Every day I get to work with incredibly smart people at some of the most respected healthcare institutions in the world – all working tirelessly to improve the health and wellness of people. Knowing that our work is playing a small role in contributing to the betterment of humanity is an incredible feeling.
Mike is Senior Vice President and a key leader in our healthcare group. As a life-long Chicagoan, he has planned and designed spaces for an array of medical and education clients throughout the city and across the U.S. His experience with and understanding of the evolving needs and complex expectations for academic medical centers enables him to develop functional, flexible, fiscally-responsible, and forward-thinking solutions—whether a new building, space or an improved process. His recent work includes the new 259 East Erie urban high-rise for Northwestern Medicine, Bayhealth Medical Center’s Milford Replacement Hospital, and the University of Minnesota’s new Ambulatory Care Center.
