We are proud to announce that Stephanie Vito, a design leader in our Mental and Behavioral Health Practice, was named to the annual BD+C list.

Stephanie has been with CannonDesign for a little over a decade, and has been dedicated to the Mental and Behavioral Health practice from the start. Over the years, she has worked on The University of Kansas Health System Strawberry Hill Behavioral Health Hospital, Prisma Health Grove Point Replacement Behavioral Health Hospital, the Sheppard Pratt Health System Washington/Baltimore Behavioral Health Hospital and more.

She and her expertise have also been featured in a number of publications and interviews, including the Wall Street Journal, SPACES podcast, Worth Media, Healthcare Design, Alternative Design podcast and more. She has been named a Rising Star by Healthcare Design and received the AIA Buffalo/WNY Young Architect Award.

She shared one of her most memorable learning experiences with BD+C: “At my first internship after graduate school, I was seated across from several experienced architects’ workstations who often engaged directly with clients. In school, there aren’t really classes about how to talk to clients. It was incredibly valuable to sit adjacent to them all summer long to listen to their presentations, learn the vocabulary, and see their demeanor when talking with clients. Originally, I felt a little guilty for eavesdropping, but I knew the lessons would stick with me and help my career.”
