We are proud to share the Joanne Chouinard-Luth Recreation and Wellness Center at The College of the Holy Cross has earned the prestigious distinction as a 2022 Athletic Business Facility of Merit.
Each year, a panel of judges selects the 10 Architectural Showcase projects they feel represent the best in architectural design and innovation across sports, recreation and wellness buildings. The 52,000 square-foot-building, affectionately referred to as simple “The Jo,” made a purposeful impact on the Holy Cross community, providing a space for activities that never existed before on campus.
The building is a state-of-the-art hub for collegiate recreation, wellness and intramural sports located on the school’s upper campus. It's a breakthrough project for the institution that reshapes the school’s offerings and its approach to the student experience.
At three stories, it offers expansive fitness and wellness spaces and truly expands opportunities, inclusion and more when it comes to student recreation, wellness and overall health. Some of those spaces include yoga, spinning, and more. It’s also home to club and intramural sports and an expanded office for public safety.
