We are thrilled to share CannonDesign has been named the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) 2023 Firm of Distinction. This is an exciting honor that speaks to our team’s design ingenuity and Living-Centered Design ethos.
The ASID Firm of Distinction program recognizes a design firm each year for its long-term accomplishments and contributions to advance the practice of interior design. In submitting for the honor, our team focused on our Ambitions and the exciting work stemming from these commitments.
“This is a wonderful honor for our firm, a testament to our creative culture, and a celebration of the work of those uniquely focused on the interior environment. This honor speaks to so much impactful design work to date, but it’s also a call to action.
Being the ASID's Firm of Distinction is a reminder to continue pushing boundaries, amplifying creativity, and championing our ambitions to change the world.”David Polzin Executive Director of Design
This ASID recognition adds to a series of strong design recognition for our interior work over the past 18 months, including:
- Interior Design magazine recognized our firm as the #1 health and #1 education interior design firm earlier this year
- Jocelyn Stroupe, Nadine Quirmbach and Dani Sheley have received national awards for their commitment to interior design excellence in recent years
- We’ve had multiple projects published nationally for their interior design including projects at Johns Hopkins University, Block, Electric Works, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Museum of Tolerance Social Lab and Seneca Valley’s Ehrman Crest Elementary and Middle School
Our team officially accepted the recognition at GATHER, ASID’s national conference in Los Angeles last night. Our work with D’Youville University’s Health Professions Hub also received a national project award in the community category. The Hub is a breakthrough medical education facility rejuvenating Buffalo's West Side community that has previously been recognized by Fast Company, Next City and numerous other design media.
