With the ever-changing education landscape across the nation, we're thrilled to welcome Marijke to the firm. She will support our teams in solving complex problems through evidence-based insights, authentic human engagement and holistic strategies.
Marijke joins us from MKThink, a San Francisco-based architecture, strategies and innovation company. In her role as principal and partner, she led the firm’s strategic services in education outcomes, providing clients with data-driven strategies at the intersection of culture, architecture, and the natural environment.
Marijke has focused her 25-year career around optimizing physical environments to better support institutional missions and the humans they are meant to serve.
Marijke’s experience in education is diverse and far-reaching both personally and professionally. She's served on the Board of Directors of a California school district and led strategic engagements for clients such as: Stanford University Law School, UC Law San Francisco, Golden Gate University, University of Washington, the Hawaii School Facility Authority, the Oakland Unified School District, and the North Monterey Unified School District. She also has extensive experience successfully expanding prefab classroom buildings into school districts across the country.
Marijke was born in the Netherlands and grew up in Manhattan, spending her summers in the Dutch countryside. Today, she lives with her family in Mill Valley, CA, a small town just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco.
