Dorinda Shabazz joins CannonDesign as Director of Information Technology

Brooke Grammier, CannonDesign’s Chief Information Officer, has collaborated with Dorinda for over a decade at various other companies. “When we created this position, Dorinda was the first person that came to mind,” said Brooke. “Her background and expertise align seamlessly with the demands of this role, and her profound understanding of the crucial processes and practices needed to elevate our technology infrastructure makes her an absolute rock star. I couldn’t be more thrilled she’s joined our team.”

Dorinda joins the firm with over 22 years of experience in technology leadership, most recently serving as the Director of Information Technology for a prominent global architecture firm. Her extensive background gives her a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to build modern technology platforms, as well as the ability to effectively manage the skilled staff and systems essential to their success.

She’ll develop new policies, procedures and standards to ensure the security, reliability and scalability of our systems, as well as find innovative ways to infuse technology training and learning across our firm. She'll also lead and mentor a global team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration and continuous learning.

When asked why she decided to join CannonDesign, Dorinda quickly highlighted our people as the primary reason.
