J. Brandon Dekker, M.S., DBIA

Principal, San Diego and Irvine Office Practice Leader

Brandon Dekker

When you ask Brandon what he does for a living, his response isn’t about buildings. It’s about culture. It’s about the role he plays in inspiring our teams to enrich the lives of individuals, help organizations become better and ultimately, improve the way we design and build projects.

Brandon’s knack for driving culture extends across the industry. As the president of the Design-Build Institute of America’s Western Pacific Region, he’s championing a movement that’s pushing for better approaches to project management, cost control, speed-to-market, team collaboration and more. He continually challenges the “we’ve always done it this way” mindset by pushing for new methods, materials and technologies that allow us to design and build better.
