Jann Gao

Jann uses the hard facts of data and mixes them with personal interpretations and perspectives to improve how we move through buildings and campuses. As an industrial engineer and Lean six sigma master black belt, she is constantly interpreting data analytics and beyond to see where disparate parts, if put together, create greater insights when it comes to healthcare strategic planning and capital investment. She believes thoughtfully designed data driven engagements, as well as interactive and fast analytics driven tools are more meaningful than ever to answer our client’s complicated questions as they invest into an increasingly uncertain future.

As the leader of Blue Cottage of CannonDesign’s Strategy and Analytics team, Jann uses curiosity and empathy to connect data with with stakeholder insights and industry perspectives to improve how we strategically plan networks, buildings, and more. With her team’s full suite of analytics capabilities, her deep knowledge of planning and translating growth into future investments has helped many clients make critical decisions rapidly and effectively.
