When it’s time to make design decisions about spaces that serve students, the spoken needs, desires and concerns of the students should lead the way. Marisa believes this is the key to helping education institutions deliver on the promise to impact lives.
Prioritizing student engagement during the design process, Marisa partners with education institutions to reimagine physical spaces on campus that will support the success of the next generation. From student unions and residence halls to wellness centers and mixed-use spaces, Marisa pursues client goals by referencing historical context, assessing students’ perspectives and building a solution that’s sustainable and student-focused. Her approach has deepened her knowledge of designing to serve students holistically and crafting experiences unique to each campus community.
