We are thrilled to announce that Denise Juron-Borgese, AIA, LEED AP, has joined CannonDesign as our new Commercial Practice Leader for the Buffalo/Pittsburgh region. With an extensive background in architecture and over 25 years of experience in diverse project types, Denise brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to transformative development.

In her previous role as Vice President of Development & Planning at Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation, Denise played a pivotal role in the successful completion of the 201 Ellicott project — a significant multi-use development that has greatly enhanced Downtown Buffalo's vibrancy. In 2021, 201 Ellicott was named a finalist in the Fast Company World-Changing Idea Awards program. Her proven track record of design excellence and dedication to her community align seamlessly with our firm's Living-Centered Design ethos.

“Denise is an amazing leader who leaves a positive imprint on each day, each project and each community she touches. She will be a remarkable asset to our commercial market and innovation culture,” says Meg Navin, CannonDesign’s Global Commercial Practice Leader.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Denise is a founding member of the Buffalo Architecture Foundation, Inc., where she has served as a past president and currently holds a position on the Board of Directors. Additionally, Denise's active participation in organizations such as the Congress for the New Urbanism, Urban Land Institute (ULI), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) underscores her commitment to sharing industry insights and fostering connections within the professional community.

We are honored to have Denise on board and look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead under her leadership.
