There are a number of ways we measure our success as a design firm: surpassing our client’s expectations, designing for responsible environmental stewardship, and running a profitable business, to name a few. Chief among our measures of how successfully we have achieved our goals for design excellence is via third party recognition of our work through design awards. It’s one thing when we say we’ve done great work, or even when our clients say we’ve done great work for them; it’s another thing entirely when design jurors we respect and, in many cases, look up to as the paragons of our profession tell us we’ve made significant and meaningful contributions to the built environment.
2016 was an outstanding year for design recognition — perhaps one of our best yet — as evidenced by the stunning work shown below. From our stellar No. 16 ranking for design excellence in the ARCHITECT 50 to an impressive 14 awards from the AIA, design teams across the firm contributed to our reputation as a powerhouse of creativity and innovation.
