Brandon Dekker named President of the Design-Build Institute of America's Western Pacific Region

Brandon Dekker, MS, DBIA, leader of both CannonDesign’s San Diego and Irvine offices, has been named Board President of the Design-Build Institute of America’s (DBIA) Western Pacific Region.

In his new role, Brandon will help the DBIA Western Pacific Region amplify its message that Progressive Design-Build  and Design-Build delivery as a whole can be a positive game changer for projects of all scale. The organization is comprised of owners and practitioners representing all aspects of design and construction to upend the status quo for project delivery.

“It is an incredible honor to work with such a talented and passionate DBIA-WPR Board and a tremendous opportunity to further my involvement with the DBIA to carry out its mission,” said Brandon. “I believe in design-build and believe in the professionals who comprise the DBIA both regionally and nationally – I truly think together, we can continue to make an impact on how projects are delivered both regionally and nationally.”

With more than two decades in the design and construction field, Brandon enjoys the collaboration in design-build and is skilled at shortening project delivery and guaranteeing costs and schedule. The most recent successful projects included three transformational libraries for the County of Riverside as well as the ongoing County of San Bernardino Public Defenders Administration Building.

For more than 25 years, DBIA’s members have been collaborating to deliver some of America’s most successful projects. Their members cover all projects phases including public and private-sector project owners. They push the boundaries of what design-build can accomplish nationally through legislative efforts, education, conferences, and publications.
