I am thrilled to announce that the CannonDesign structural engineering team has officially joined the SE2050 Commitment—prioritizing sustainability in everything that we do.

The mission of the SE 2050 Commitment is to support the SE 2050 Challenge and transform the practice of structural engineering in a way that is holistic, firm-wide, project-based, and data-driven. By focusing on the reduction of embodied carbon, using less and/or less impactful structural materials, participating firms can more easily work toward net-zero embodied carbon structural systems by 2050.

Structural team member, Charlotte Sauer, LEED AP BD+C, was the guiding force through this entire process. “Reducing the carbon footprint of structural systems is paramount to combatting climate change,” Charlotte said, “CannonDesign’s commitment to the SE2050 program emphasizes the dedication  of our structural engineering team to make this a reality.”
