Deeply passionate about positive environmental impact, Adam will work to amplify our sustainable design and consulting capabilities across Colorado and beyond.
He’ll partner with our design teams to ensure the projects we create incorporate strong sustainability design measures and also offer prime services for Denver-area and national organizations. He’ll focus especially on helping clients find the best pathways to reduce emissions, slash operating costs, and create healthier spaces in which to thrive.
“As the dive towards sustainability continues, we are thrilled to have Adam join our growing team in Denver,” said Tim Barr, our Denver Office Leader. “His commitment to our environment is infectious. Living in Colorado, we are surrounded by reminders of how much the natural environment matters and we need bold leaders like Adam ensuring the built environment is optimized to support our planet.”
With deep expertise in every stage of sustainable design, from planning through design and delivery, Adam is set to be an incredible resource to our clients. He’s extremely accredited (LEED AP, BD+C, WELL AP, Fitwel, QCxP, GRI) and has delivered work for major institutions including City and County of Denver, Denver Airport, Colorado Department of Agriculture, Colorado State University, UC-Boulder, Los Angeles Metro, Nike and the United States Air Force and Army.
“Adam is well-known for his ability to forge creative, data-driven solutions that respond to all scales of sustainability challenges and opportunities,” added Eric Corey Freed, our Director of Sustainability. “He leads, he builds consensus, and he never loses focus on infusing sustainability in every possible ounce of each project he touches.”
Ever focused on high-performance buildings, Adam is also trained to consider the social justice and equity impacts his projects will have. He’s also extensively published and consistently devotes time to community volunteer efforts in line with his sustainability passions.
“Joining CannonDesign is an incredible opportunity to make a difference,” explained Adam. “We have all the tools we need to set new precedents when it comes to sustainable design, and this is an organization driven to activate these resources for positive environmental impact that will echo for generations.”
Adam joins our Denver team at an exciting moment. We recently moved to a new office in Denver’s exciting River North Arts District and our leading important projects with Children’s Hospital of Colorado Springs and Colorado State University among others.
Adam, who was born in New York, currently “spends hours on his road bike touring through Denver and Boulder County” and “hikes, camps, visits farmer’s markets, and a schedules a few great ski days each year.”
