Director of Interior Design
In today’s competitive business climate, our clients are in need of spaces that can balance beauty and function with their need to remain competitive. This is exactly where my passion lies – in leveraging the built environment to drive business performance while simultaneously elevating the human spirit and how it might resonate as an experiential space.
As a designer, Tina Manis embraces a philosophy that serves her well in her role of Director of Interior Design in our New York City office — that anything is possible with a strong client relationship. Tina listens intently to clients to discover opportunities that are not readily voiced but that enhance the project’s spatial and functional experience.
A self-identified universalist, Tina believes that every new project should cultivate new ways of thinking, following the potential of the design process. She embraces all scales of interior design — from the seamless integration of technology and architecture down to the most specific details of interior architecture, including furnishings, fixtures and materials. Tina’s architectural background allows her to understand the architectural language and merge that with the language of interior design. Having a very deep previous practice in architecture gives her a different, holistic perspective and understanding of projects.
In her nearly three decades in the industry, 10 of which were at the helm of her own practice, Tina has also been a professor at Parsons School of Design and New School University, and a visiting adjunct at Columbia University GSAPP, Yale School of Architecture, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, among others. Dedicated to redefining the common perception of beauty in the built form, Tina partners with clients across all of our core markets, helping them transcend the traditional notion of what an interior space should be, and how that space may be experienced.
